Why YES, it is all about ME!

There is a lot of Awe-Summmness going around the blog world right now... but none of it comes close to me um, I mean Mrs Nurse Boy who bestowed this lovely award on me!

The Rules:

1. List 7 things that make me Awe-Summm.

2. Pass the award onto 7 bloggers that I love.

3. Tag those bloggers to let them know they are now Queens too (and link back to the Queen who tagged you).

I really think it should be enough that Mrs Nurse Boy thinks I'm Awe-Summmmmm and I shouldn't have to prove it but here goes...

okay, this is kinda hard... mummies are into self-depreciation... so bear with me while I sort through that and think of something...

1. My kids think that I have superpowers.

2. I have an Awe-Summm husband... yes, this counts, without him I wouldn't be anywhere near as Awe-Summm as I am today.

3. Every time I watch a movie it's like the first time... I have to ask Wolf "have I seen that one" when we go to the video shop. It means I can watch funny movies over and over and all the jokes are new!

4. I make a GREAT Christmas cake! I happen to LOVE my Christmas cakes, it's my mum's recipe that is from some other relative. Mum used to decorate wedding cakes and she taught me lots of that stuff so when I think I'll have time to go the whole hog I will decorate it too. that's a bit time consuming so I think I have only done that once since I've had kids:(

5. I reckon I make a pretty good kids birthday cake too... I have fun making them and I'm usually really happy with the way they turn out... for the most part they look like I intend them to as well!

6. I can read Fox in Socks REALLY FAST. Little Bear thought it was hilarious when she heard it... that's Awe-Summm enough for me! Oh, and I do the voices when I read the boys books.

7. I wont sing for real in public but I'm not afraid to sing silly kids songs with my boys in public. There's nothing like wandering the aisles at Coles singing "Galumph went the little green frog".

Hey, look at that, it turns out I am Awe-Summmm! Thanks Mrs Nurse Boy!

I'm supposed to tag some folk that are equally Awe-Summm (or even more Awe-Summ) but I only read Awe-Summm bloggers so if you are on my blogroll then please take this one as yours! (yes, that is a cop out but I'm Awe-Summm at breaking the rules too!)

I also received this Super Award from Super Possum...

Thank-You Possum! I think your blog is super too (oh, and go across and congratulate her on her Super Flute Skills! She got Honours for her first grade flute exam)

I'm supposed to pass this on too I guess... Can I claim the same as above? If you are reading this you are super so go ahead and grab this one!

Anyone who has bestowed a lovely award on me and I haven't done anything about it... I am sorry... Really I am. I am very thankful too. I am trying to turn a corner and start doing something about these when people are kind enough to think of me for these gifts... please be patient though, I'm not very good at turning corners.

Dear God,

Come with me... I am going to get a nappy for Mummy and Dragon from Dragon's room... Now I have a nappy... I am going back to take it to Mummy... I'm not scared. Amen

That was Lion's prayer as he went to do something responsible for me and get a fresh nappy for Dragon. At first he ran off and came back an instant later and said he was scared (we were all in the lounge room and the rest of the house was empty), I told him he didnt need to be scared. He decided himself that he should pray while he went and I told him that was a great idea and can he pray loud enough so that I can hear what he is saying... off he goes... It is just like a letter a little kid would dictate for their mum to write. He even said it like that, like it was bullet points on a list.

He is getting better with the idea that mummy and daddy dont have to pray for him, he can say the words himself beyond "Dear God, thank you for Jesus, Amen" (the prayer he learnt first day of Sunday School this year) and saying grace. I am loving the things he comes up with to pray about...

Dear God, My Mummy smells lovely, Amen. -yep, God needed to know that one!

Dear God, Please help the naughty trucks to not run over me flat and squish me in my dreams, Amen. -we are trying to get him to be the one that prays after his nightmares.

Dear God, my shoes are nice, Amen. -um, and Dragon is the one with the shoe fettish, not sure where this came from.

Dragon is catching on too (second ones always get these things faster)
*closes eyes, bows head, clutches hands together infront of his pudgy little nose, stays silent for a second or two* "Men" (translation "Amen")

I am proud of my little boys. I was so proud of Lion that he thought himself that it would be a great time to pray and his first instinct was to pray HIMSELF!

***completely off topic... thank you to everyone who has given me awards, I will post them all (at least the ones I can find/have kept track of) eventually, I am getting there, I have a post half written, so much to blog, so little time.***
