Open your eyes people...

I needed to duck into coles last night on our way home from getting Wolf from work so that I would have milk for breakfast and real milk to make coffee for the girls coming over for a meeting. I grabbed my 3 cartons of milk and headed for the checkouts. I spotted the first checkout, it was the 12 items line, just what I needed, there was about 4 people in line and the last lady had her trolley parked there and was running back and forth from the nearby shelves putting stuff in it and going back for more, her daughter was running back and forth to the further shelves for her. As I got closer so did another man, this lady bolted back to her trolley and said "yes, I'm in line, I'm in line" with a rather pushy tone and I just walked past thinking I would rather stand in line longer than be behind this nut job and I'd spotted another register anyway. So I walked on and stopped at the very next checkout, it was a regular one but there was no line at all! And further down there was another guy standing there cleaning his register because he had no line. I must have looked confused walking up to the checkout because the guy made a comment and I explained what I had just encountered. He had a laugh, apparentlly they see that all the time.

just how much nothing???

For those who care and to emphasise just how much of nothing has been going on here I will update you on Coles confiscating my milk... They redeemed themselves, sort of. I went to a different coles the next day and they had a bunch of Goats milk marked down that probably shouldn't have been marked down yet. It was only down to $2 a Litre but that's less than half price and that's fine with me so I bought it and we have been enjoying special treats like Custard that I usually have to plan ahead for and buy not so expensive milk to use in it. So that is the grand total of the excitement here... Custard... YAY!

Although today we did have little bear here again and we managed to have all 3 monsters children asleep for their naps at the same time. I think there was an overlap of about an hour! pretty impressive.

not much excitement here.

There isn't much to share at the moment. There are HUGE machines working behind our house and the boys are having a great time climbing up into the cubby to watch them over the fence (if only the drivers would wave back to them, they dont realise how much that simple little thing would mean to two little boys). I have tried to get some photos but they are hard to catch when they are close.

Lion made up his own rap song the other day. It went like this...

We are God's favourite machines
We are God's favourite machines
We are God's favourite machines
We are God's favourite machines
We are God's favourite machines
We are God's favourite machines
We are God's favourite machines

well you get the picture. I was so very cute and it didn't even get annoying, I was wondering how long I would last listening to it over and over and over but he varied his pitch and speed a bit and it made it interesting.
one final gripe... I had 4 litres of milk confiscated from me at Coles this morning! To keep the house humming (or perhaps it should be "to stop the house from humming") we drink Goats milk. It's often hard to get, and it's not cheap! I found 4 liters left on the shelf at coles this morning and grabbed a couple and realised that the best before day was today! So I grabbed it all and took it to the service desk to see if they would mark it down (it's still good for another week after it's date, it's great stuff) They usually mark it down to $1 so that would have been 4L for less than the price of 1L. Nope, they took it off me. They cant sell it on the day it expires and they didnt even have any out the back because they have got all their cold deliveries held until they can repair the massive section of fridges that have shut down which is apparently why the milk was still on the shelf becasue they were doing a stock take of all the food that had spoiled in the broken fridges so they hadnt checked the food that was in the working fridges. And to make it worse, we couldnt buy more yow-yow or cheese becuase they were in the broken section, that didnt go down well with the darlings in the trolley. Oh the dramas!!!!
