Who can understand a child???

I dont understand my kids!!!!! One day they are too scared to play in the sand pit by themselves in the middle of the day and the next (right now) they are playing in the sand pit by themselves in the dark!!!! One day (minute) they are at each others throats and the next (also right now) they just want to be together playing happily. Who are these children?
