I just mopped my tiled floors for the first time in a VERY long time.
I was feeling pretty good about it.
It was an up-hill battle with Lion hovering behind me the WHOLE TIME.
I finally had them finished.
Dragon woke up from his nap and the boys had a couple of lamingtons each.
Dragon came to tell me something and stood in the middle of my sparkling white floors and made some gesture that knocked some coconut off his shirt.
He was so intrigued with the snow-like coconut falling to the clean floor that he kept going until he had knocked it all off his shirt and was standing amongst a little coconut ring on the floor.

I am always commenting to HB that there's really no point mopping the floor. It rarely stays clean for more than 5 minutes anyway.
ReplyDeleteYou actually mop? lol
ReplyDeleteI'm kidding. I mop on a rare occasion... you know, someone coming over to visit for the 1st time, or a holiday party at our house.
I just don't see a point in it... as soon as I mop it my kids (or the neighbor's dog) will run through my house with muddy shoes!
That is so adorable! He's a doll! I love the photo!
ReplyDeleteOh, they KNOW! My floors haven't remained clean for longer than 3 minutes during the last 9 years. I am guessing that isn't going to change...

@ Mrs Miles... Your neighbour’s dog wears shoes? Wow!
ReplyDeleteMy floor is dirty again before I even get the vacuum cleaner away, so mopping is like a twice a year thing, just to get rid of some of the milk stains which really show up on wooden floors.
ReplyDeleteReally, if our floors stayed clean longer than this, our life would be too boring to blog about !!!
Nothing like a clean floor... for a minute or two!
