I wanna grow up!

Visualise this...

Mummy's lying on the bed in a dark room not feeling real well...

Lion comes in and stands beside the bed and rests his elbows on it...

I suddenly notice how tall he's gotten....

MMcT: You're getting so grown up, what'll I do with you? Give you a cuddle?

Lion: climbing up - yes, and maybe a kiss as well. (isn't he just a darling?)

MMcT: Oh, Lion, I don't want you to grow up.

Lion: very earnest - I do want to grow up and be a big grown up boy...

So I can use knives...

Really. Really. Sharp. Knives...

OKAY, glad we have that sorted.

Disclaimer: Wolf took that photo, I thought it was a terrible idea, it gave me the heebie jeebies just knowing what was going on.

  2. Lion is a crack up...and a sweetheart. Maybe he's going to be a chef when he grows up. He looks REALLY happy almost giddy in that pic. hehe

    I hope you're feeling better.

    Much love from NJ,
    Sue xoxo

  3. I'm right there with you. I hope his hug and kiss made you feel much much better! Well, maybe it did til you learned about his dream of knives. YIKES IS RIGHT! LOL

  4. I know I'm colour blind (deficient), but even I can see that his hair is a different colour - or did you fiddle with the photo?
Don't worry - a love of knives only means he wants to be a butcher when he grows up!!! I loved guns when I was his age (I always wanted to be a Vet).

  5. Oh my. He does look pleased with himself. Our 5 yo is a big fan of knives too. And yet the 7 yo has no interest. Once I got over my incredible fear of him using the knives, he cuts up the carrots very nicely for dinner most nights.

  6. So - next time Lion doesn't want to get his photo taken we just give him a knife or two and he will cooperate and get that delightful gleam in his eye. . .

I'd love to hear from you, even if it's just to say "Hi, I stopped by for a read today"
