From the Dragon in the back of the car today...
"Ooooh, wimmin' pool" (swimming pool)
"Ah, no dear, that's the river"
And it's not a little river, we were crossing a bridge so he had a good view of how far the river stretched in either direction and how wide it is.
This is a pretty section near our house, not the spot we were driving across.
He's such a darling.
I think I'll pass on the "wim". I like my "wimmin" water to be clear and free of animals and crocs...I am just so picky.

That looks like a nice swimming place, except I suppose you can't in case of crocs?
ReplyDeleteDragon was talking about the possibility of moving to NQ and one of the 'drawbacks' was that you can't swim anywhere - jellyfish & crocs seem to rule out all the naural places.
What a darling! I miss the little words they come up with when they are learning to talk.
ReplyDeleteNQ has lovely fresh water holes in the summertime that are about 40 minutes away, which seem to be clear of anything dangerous.
ReplyDeleteOh dragon, you are way too precious to swim in the Ross River.
Cousin Dragon, right there you have to watch for crocs but we do have some lovely 'wimmin' holes that we'd let you share. You just have to ask us locals where we swim:) Stinger season is only 7 or 8 months of the year and you can just wear pantyhose and you'll be right... I'm sure that idea thrills you!
ReplyDeleteIt's more the thought of crocs that would stop me!
