Two big boys took advantage of nap time and got into the fridge and pantry and did some 'cooking'.
There was trouble.

Week 2 of school.

(he was clear of any lice, thankfully)

These two were super cute on their walk to collect Lion from school.

Bunkering down at bed time for Tropical Cyclone Yasi.

Yasi was here.

There were so many photos I could have used from the morning we emerged to a town that had been trashed by TC Yasi.  This one seemed to show it's impact on the kids better than the others.  The Taj Ma Cubby was structurally sound... but left too dangerous to play on.

Our neighbours trampoline.

I'll fill in more of the trampoline story when I post my account of TC Yasi.

Waiting, waiting, waiting... while the council workers clearing the roads as fast as possible.

They have done an unbelievable job.

  1. Yay! You're back :) I hope this means you're on the mend. I've been missing your posts but of course you're excused for absence.

  2. Your pictures tell some great stories. Hope you are feeling better.

  3. LOVE the cooking! Made me laugh and laugh - my big man's choice for dinner last night was uncooked pasta and sultanas. Good stuff, obviously!

And your boys really are so adorable... love the walk to school pic!

  4. Oh wow - it is amazing to see the damage from your perspective. So pleased you guys were alright.
Love that picture of the boys cooking - it reminds me of when my children get into the kitchen! Did they make you eat any of their creation?
    Have a good day

I'd love to hear from you, even if it's just to say "Hi, I stopped by for a read today"
