Playing a bit more catch-up...

After leeching of others for electricity and a cool place to sleep we finally had a place all to ourselves... although, still technically leeching since it wasn't our house, we could watch Bones and Castle on Sunday night without worrying who else might want the TV.

Not sure what killed her.
Not sure that I want to know.
This 'little' fella was dead on our driveway when we ducked home to our hot, electricity-less house to grab some stuff.

School is back on and our regular walk to school is somewhat changed.
There's a few new obstacles to navigate around.

This is the point where, going through my photos, I thought I had found the first day of no photos.
Then I remembered taking this one of the boys chilling (way too close to the TV), that I took with Wolf's phone.
The no photo day will come, one day, just not today.
We moved back home this night.

Even the empire that is the Golden Arches is not immune to the destruction of a massive tropical cyclone.
The sign-writers around town are laughing though.

Sadly, this is the only photo I took this day.
Trying to take a photo for a friend of how many foils the hairdresser put in.
I think we had a miscommunication, I said 1/4 head of foils, she heard 3/4 head of foils... oh well.

When there's no electricity there's no washing machine...

  1. Holy crap that spider looks huge!!! I'm shuddering at the thought of it.

  2. ah. Me by the way, wrong account. heh

  3. Definitely puts a new slant on obstacles to obtaining an education.
Amazing and scary pictures post cyclone.

  4. You coulda warned me what was coming with that spider! {shuddering}

    Love the Maccas one!

  5. You should have put your hand next to the spider so as we could gauge its size!

  6. LOL at your last comment!
That path twisted like that is amazing - I've never seen anything like it!
    Have a great day

  7. Love the foil photo! I have been known to sport my fair share of foils every now and then!

    Mrs. Nurse Boy

  8. Glad to see you guys are recovering well after the cyclone.

  9. Spiders make me shudder! So sorry about the awful storm results! I find that the path to school (hypothetically) always has some obstacles to overcome! LOL Hope things are better!

Also, I was reading through a post from last year (linked to it from current post) - and I just wanted to thank you for your comment and your promise to "pray and pray and pray." Those prayers have made a difference for me and for my son:)

I'd love to hear from you, even if it's just to say "Hi, I stopped by for a read today"
