A Quick One...

My Lion is a darling...

I was tucking him into bed and I lay down next to him and he put his little arms around my neck and looked at me with tear filled eyes and said...

"mummy, I love you.

I really, really love you.

So much that I just can't stop loving you"

Of course I didn't tear up... much... for long... dang, where are those tissues...

  1. Aw, boys can be so sweet when they aren't being so 'boyish' like drinking out of gutters, making yucky noises, smells, etc. Praise God for little boys!

  2. Aww... That is so cute! Every now and then my son will do something absolutely adorable like that. Mind you, it is usually after he has done something really bad and has gotten into a lot of trouble for it.

He's 4 and I think it is so cute when he curls up in my lap and lays his head on my chest. I know I only have about 1-2 more years before he thinks I am the abnoxious, uncool mom that babies him all the time and never lets him do anything he wants. I'm going to miss these years.

  4. So adorable, mine started asking me when we could get married at about that age.

It's a great compliment that you are so open, non-judgmental and loving with them that they see in you what they long for, even at this very young age, in a companion.

    Way to go Mom!

  5. Oh man, you just can't get enough of those moments!

Housesit? I've got one better - let's trade for 3 months! You come here, I go there. We'd get to see Down Under without breaking the bank and you'd experience a little Canadian hospitality!

    Aaaaahh...to dream!

  7. Oh how cute! I love how my boys love me even after I've disciplined them, or worse, lost my temper. They have so much to teach me about true love.

If you and Queen Amy traded for 3 months, we'd be neighbours (almost)!.

  10. What a total doll! My son doesn't say "I love you," When I say it to him he giggles and grins, but if I ask him to say it he just kind of sighs at me. He's only 2 though, so I've got time for all that.

I'd love to hear from you, even if it's just to say "Hi, I stopped by for a read today"
