I'm Alright! Nothing Serious

A few posts back Mummy McT wrote about how a itty-bitty tree snake (we now call 'Cranky') was 'freakin' her out' because it was in the back yard eating a frog, the wrong way around. Anyhow, my sister commented that being such a big strong man I should have done something to save the poor frog.

Well in order to save my manly image I decided to track down this snake and put things right. So down to the gully beside our house I trek. There is a nice big concrete tank down there where we regularly find snakes sunning themselves, especially after all the unusual cold wet days we've been having, it should be swarming with snakes.

I took our video camera in order to capture the moment so you can imagine my surprise when I came across 'Cranky's' big brother.

It's OK, I'm alright, I discovered my superpower is ultra-sonic speed, because I'm sure I heard the sound barrier break on my way back up the gully to the road. All I got was a little scratch above the eye where the camera slammed into my face.

  1. Wow, that is so coooool !!!

So how big was 'big brother'?

Does this make them 'cranky' & 'crankier'?

What a great BBQ story you've got now (though would have been cooler with the fang marks to show for it !!)

  2. You could have lied and said the scratch was from the fangs of the snake. But you didn't, so you are not just a big, strong man - you're a big, strong, honest man.

But you'll always be my little big brother. That snake is lucky I wasn't there coz NO ONE attacks my brother!!!!!

By the way, are you going to send that into funny home videos?

  3. I would have loved to have heard the commentary on that one! It was a little silent. I know mine wouldn't have been so silent, I can tell you that. I would have loved to see the rest of the tape as well. Had a good laugh.

I'd love to hear from you, even if it's just to say "Hi, I stopped by for a read today"
